Hello everyone! This week has been great, but we’re nearing the end which is making me quite sad. But we had a great week back at the orphanage! I was with the babies (aged newborn to 2 years old) two of the four ministry days and down with the preschoolers (2/3-6 years old) the other two days. When I was upstairs with the babies there was a lot of learning going on with the lady who works up there! She would play videos and make them sit on the floor and sing along. We did shapes, colors, the alphabet, and even sounding out some words! It was a lot of fun, and she definitely has those kids in line. Then of course there was nap time and eating time too! They’ve asked me not to show pictures of their faces, but I can of their hands and feet so that’s what these pictures are all of. Then the other two days Kendall and I got to be the teacher for the preschoolers! We had them go over some Palm Sunday worksheets and another day we did a worksheet about Easter with John 3:16 as the focal point. Emma enjoyed the coloring as well as you can see haha. One of the young boys also asked me to draw myself and him on the back of his paper, and then he proceeded to ask me to keep drawing all the other preschoolers until he named all ten of them, so that’s what that drawing of eleven people is. That is my artwork of me and our preschoolers on the back of one of their papers, by their request of course since I’m not much of an artist myself. I also had them do triangle worksheets to to help them learn their shapes better which was also fun. I also found out that the ceiling to their dollhouse is made out of an old paint tray which is pretty cool. All in all, this week was filled with some wonderful time with the kids and teaching them about God so I really enjoyed that! Stay tuned for more in the future!

  1. I cannot love this more. There is no effort of greater importance than investing in children. Thank you for putting your heart into this! I love the drawing you made of you and the kids for the boss who commissioned it!
I’m sad too for all of you that it’s winding down. Great job jumping in with both feet and arms/heart wide open from the very beginning!

  2. My goodness, how the time has flown. Just another couple of weeks.

As usual, loved the photos. Nap time was great, how cool was that one of teaching how to tie the shoes. But of course my favorite being you with all the kids. How precious.

I’ll be looking forward to the next installments

    Love, Aunt Carole
